CONFERENCIA DE TOASTMASTERS EN SEVILLA. TODO UN ÉXITO GRACIAS A TODOS VOSOTROS.

El club Toastmasters Sevilla agradece la participación a todos los toastmasters que hicieron que la Conferencia 2013 fuera un éxito. Ha sido un placer para todos nosotros recibiros en Sevilla y ser parte de esta conferencia. Esperamos que toastmasters de nuestro club se animen a participar en las próximas competiciones.

FALL CONFERENCE DIVISION H – SEVILLE. 19th OCTOBER 2013

Event Description

“Unleash your Talent”. Your talent speaks for itself so express it.  Seville’s people are great fun, cheerful and welcoming. Above all they are spontaneous and can organize a grand party at a moment’s notice.

Seville Toastmasters Club feel honoured to be hosting Spain’s Fall Conference 2013 for the very first time. There’s a famous refrain which goes  “Seville has it’s special colour”. It has colour indeed- come discover it!
 

The Conference
                                                                                         

The main focus will be on Humorous Speech Contests, Table Topics Contests and Educational workshops. The Spanish sessions will be run in the morning and the afternoon will be dedicated to English-speaking activity.   We are also delighted to announce that ourKeynote speaker is none less than Portuguese Jorge Crespo. 

Jorge Crespo

Jorge Crespo is a member of Business Speakers Toastmasters in Lisbon, Portugal. In 2012  he was European Champion of Public Speaking and in the same year competed at the World Championship of Public Speaking in Orlando, USA. Jorge will be delivering a presentation about the theory of “Storytelling and its powerful influence on Communication«

The Venue
                                             

 The conference will be held in the “Salon de Actos” of the Mutua Universal, situated on Isla de la Cartuja where Sevilla hosted the Universal Exposition in 1992 (Expo ’92).

Entertainment 

 The Gala Dinner will be held at Restaurante Rio Grande, with spectacular views on the wonderful rio Guadalquivir, the Golden Tower and the famous Giralda. During the Gala dinner, Amparo Lagares, currently one of the most promising flamenco singers, will delight us with two pases which will satisfy both flamenco and party fans.

Cancellations will be accepted till 5th October with 70% of the fee being refunded. However, transferring a ticket to another Toastmaster is acceptable.

Brothehood weekend of the Conferernce

Friday afternoon – Sightseeing + Tapas

Meeting point: 19.00  at PLAZA NUEVA, (close to the City Hall).  Planned is an accompanied walk through the city centre’s most beautiful and emblematic streets. The route will follow through the Plaza de Toros , La Torre del Oro, the Archivo de Indias, The Alcazar, the Cathedral, the Barrio de Santa Cruz, ending at the Plaza del Salvador, a popular meeting point  and where the route’s first beer will be sampled.
 
By this time members and guests would have become acquainted with each other which is when we set off to visit the authentic “tapas bars”. Should participation be high, we may have to split the group, each led by a fellow Seville Toastmaster to allow for a more genuine experience and for greater convenience when entering a bar.
          

Saturday Night – English Humorous Contest / Gala Dinner / Entertainment
Venue: 19.30 Restaurant Rio Grande.

The English Humorous Speech Contest will be held in a separate private area. We will be listening to fellow Toastmasters speaking against a back-drop of ships sailing through the Guadalquivir.  Sunset views of the Torre del Oro and the Giralda will round up the magical environment. 
The awards ceremony will be followed with an exquisite 3-course dinner, quality wines and coffee. 
                               
Our entertainer of the evening will be the flamenco singer Amparo Lagares and her band. This artist  received numerous awards since she first started performing at the age of five. After her performance those in a party mood can jump to the dance floor.
 
The show goes on with music and the cocktail bar on site will be open “until you drop».
The party is assured . Do not miss it !

CONFERENCIA DE OTOÑO 2013 DE TOASTMASTERS ESPAÑA

Descripción del evento

“Desata tu talento”. Tu talento por sí mismo no habla, tienes que darlo a conocer.
 
El club Toastmasters de Sevilla tiene el honor de organizar la Conferencia de Otoño 2013 para todos los toastmasters de España (división H) y parte del extranjero.
 
Los sevillanos son alegres, divertidos y acogedores. Espontáneos, saben ofrecer una calurosa bienvenida cuando los amigos aparecen sin previo aviso.
 
Hay una famosa canción que dice “Sevilla tiene un color especial”. Venid  y experimentadlo en persona. Os esperamos.
 

La Conferencia

La Conferencia de Otoño 2013 se centra en los discursos humorísticos y en los  discursos improvisados. Se desarrollará durante un día completo, en jornada de mañana (en español) y tarde (en inglés). También tendremos la oportunidad de escuchar a ponentes especializados en comunicación, entre los cuales podremos disfrutar de escuchar, nada más y nada menos, que al portugués Jorge Crespo.

Jorge Crespo

Jorge Crespo es  miembro de Business Speakers Toastmasters de Lisboa. Es el actual campeón europeo de Discurso Publico. Compitió en el Campeonato Mundial de Discurso Público en Orlando, USA en el 2012. Jorge nos hablará sobre: “La Teoría de Narrar Historias y su poderosa influencia en la Comunicación”

Lugar de celebración

La Conferencia de Otoño de Toastmasters  se celebrará en el salón de acto de la Mutua Universal, situada en la Isla de la Cartuja, enclave en el que se celebró la Exposición Universal de Sevilla en 1992, conocida popularmente como “Expo´92” .
 

Una vez terminada la jornada, tendremos una cena de gala en el Restaurante Rio Grande, situado en un lugar privilegiado, con vistas incomparables al rio Guadalquivir, la Torre del Oro y la Giralda.
Durante la Cena de Gala, disfrutaremos del flamenco de Amparo Lagares, una de las voces más prometedoras de este arte. Nos deleitará con dos pases que satisfarán a los aficionados al flamenco de calidad y a los que tengan ganas de fiesta.

Sólo se admitirán cancelaciones, con una devolución del 70% del importe pagado, hasta el 5 de Octubre. No obstante, se admite la transferencia del ticket a otro Toastmasters.
